Happy Valentines Day

It was a Happy Valentines Day here in Casa de Argueta. Our family has come into the 21st Century with the purchase of a laptop computer. We can now all sit in bed and laugh at youtube. Check this video on youtube. Poor kid. It is funny, but a little disturbing at the same time. I could see Ross doing this though.

Luckily Kate Wasn't There

When we go out to eat the children gravitate towards the video games. The amount of money spent on video games is based on how badly you wish to have an uninterrupted adult conversation. Once that is determined you dig for quarters from the bottom of your purse, from your husband's dirty pockets and if you have a grandparent around you hit them up too.

Last Saturday we went to Wild Wings. This place had a bar that was almost 1/2 of the restaurant. There were TV's with sports events going on and many were indulging at the bar while others were there indulging in buffalo wings at the tables. The children immediately scoped out the place and saw the video game. That's right game - not games.

This video game was located at the back of the restaurant near the bar. The game was probably more of an adult game as you see below.

Yes it says Moose's Shootout. By the time we all realized what they were playing the only thought that came to mind was if Kate ever comes to visit we can't bring her here.

Then I started thinking if I blog this I wonder if Kate will contact CPS. It's Texas! Don't forget that Kate.

Has This Happened to You?

Have you ever lost, I mean misplaced something?

You know something like this that you only had for one week and got as a Christmas present?

And then in January you receive a package from some guy in New York City claiming to be Santa Claus? And the package contains this? And you are beyond excited and jumping with joy!

And then you have it for 3 days and it too is lost, I mean misplaced?

And then when you start tearing up your house looking for the new "misplaced" item and then you go out to your car and you tear that up too, not that you haven't already done both of these many, many times looking for the first one you lost, I mean misplaced and low and behold in that compartment, in the door of your car, where you have looked a million times, you find this?

Thought so!

Saturday and Cars

Guess where we went today? Yep, the Houson Auto Show. I haven't gone in years, but Cisco never misses even one year. Cisco will turn 50 in 2 years and he wanted me to see his 50th birthday present.

First we had to see the new Miata.

Then we went to see our car brand of choice.

The only Toyota vehicle you see in this picture is the Tundra. That is kind of a sore subject around our house. All of us miss the champagne colored 4 door crew cab Tundra that we gave up last Spring due to gas prices.

Then it was on to the reason for the trip to the Auto Show.

Then we all fell in love with the BMW 328i. It is a hard top convertible. You melt into the leather seats. Cisco has read everything about hard top convertibles and decided this is the one he will buy when he turns 50. I hope that President Obama is able to turn this economy around very quickly so that all of Cisco's dreams will come true.

I also hope he realizes that I will be happy to share the driving responsibilities.

We were downtown on Saturday afternoon and we drove past the side of this building. What you see was painted on the side of the building. It is not posters.

President Obama

Never in my life time would I have believed I would witness this day. I kept Daniel home from school today. He is somewhat interested when people get into limos and leave on helicopters. He might be interested in the parade as well. My only hope is that in his lifetime this is not a rarity. I hope this is the beginning and that he will always remember that his mom let him stay home from school to witness history.

A Great Day To Be An American
